The high altitude, combination of humidity, and fertile soil of the Kalinga mountains provides an ideal environment for both the civets and the Arabica coffee plants.

Free range civets, unlike captivated civets are selective feeders, they are choosing only the ripest and highest-quality coffee cherries. This natural selection contributes to the premium quality of the beans.

Cats digest the pulp while the beans remain largely intact. This step is crucial for natural fermentation. It changes the health benefits and elevates Kopi Luwak above regular coffees.

Wet metod

Wet washing process is often considered superior for producing high-quality coffee. It prevents the risk of mold development by removing the mucilage from the beans. It enhances flavor clarity, consistency, and the preservation of unique bean characteristics.
